Richard J Bouchard, 79 of Gorham passed away Sunday, July 12 at Maine Medical Center.  Richard was born in Caribou, the son of Maxime & Cecile (Fournier) Bouchard and was raised in Eagle Lake.   Richard spent his career as a Machinist in the Military, serving in the Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard.   He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved to collect coins.  He was very creative and had a passion for inventing.  His greatest joy was being around his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.    Richard is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Theresa J McCartney Bouchard; a son Rick Bouchard of Scarborough; a daughter Theresa M Bouchard of Windham; grandsons Bruce Grover and wife Tiffany of Vermont, Brad Bouchard and wife Amber of East Baldwin ME, Justin Bouchard and wife Kim of Gorham ME;  and 8 great grandchildren,  a brother Joseph Dube and wife Nancy; a sister Nancy Gagnon and husband Reggie; and several nieces and nephews.   Visiting Hours will be Friday, July 17, from 6 to 8 PM at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am, at St. Anthony's Parish, 268 Brown St., Westbrook.  Online condolences can be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
