Reginald Dale Herbert, 71, of Gorham, passed away on April 30, 2021. He was born in Portland on December 10, 1949 to parents Warren and Sena (Jensen) Herbert. Reggie grew up in Westbrook in a large family, one of eight children. He graduated from Westbrook High School. After graduating he worked in construction and for J & L Vending, followed by eight years at Emery Waterhouse, seventeen years at Sappi Paper Mill, and fifteen years at PharMerica before retiring. In 1972 Reggie married Anita Spaulding and the two of them went on to raise four children together and were married for 30 years. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, bowling and billiards. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, witty remarks, and a gentle kindness. Reggie is survived by his children; Nathan Herbert, and his wife Amy, of Otisfield, Kami Axelsen, and her husband, Neal, of Saco, Devin, of Auburn; grandchildren, Jacob, Zachary, Ryan, Haylee, Elise, Sadine, Livia, and Hunter; siblings, Judy Ducharme, and her husband Gerry, Darrell Herbert, and his wife Jane, Greg Herbert, and his wife Sandy, Cheryl Leconte, and her husband Kevin, Wendy Herbert; sister in laws, Margaret Herbert and Kathy Herbert, 41 nieces and nephews, and many friends. Reggie is predeceased by his parents, Warren and Sena; two brothers, Kerry and Barrie, and his son Jason Herbert. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 6 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee.
