Falmouth- Regina Irene (Hoyt) Hudson passed away December 13, 2017, days before her passing her family made an effort to surround her in love. She passed peacefully in her sleep after years of health struggles. Regina was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 9, 1941 to Pearl Ells and Clarence Worthylake. Clarence died in 1941, after which Regina was adopted by George A. Hoyt. Regina was known by friends and family as Jean. She grew up in the Boston, Massachusetts area but moved to Portland, Maine, about 1960. Regina lived in Portland most of her adult life. She was married and raised her children in the Portland area. In 1965, she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a member of the Portland Ward for many years. She served in the church in many ways including being a Primary Teacher. She was also known for her baking and fudge making. Regina was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Allen, brother, Fredrick Hoyt, and her parents. She is survived by her brother, Robert Hoyt of Portland and her six children, Joseph Cooper, Jr. of Saco, David Cooper of Georgia, Pamela Lunn of Gray, Miriam "Jill" Cooper of Oklahoma, Brett Coffin of Utah, and Kimberly Sparrow of Georgia, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews. Family and friends are invited to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 29 Ocean House Road Cape Elizabeth, on Thursday, December 21, 2017 starting at 6:30 pm. There will be a short service beginning at 7:00 pm., followed by light refreshments. Arrangements are under the care of Dolby, Blais & Segee Funeral Chapel, Westbrook.
