Windham, Rachel Morse, 51, of Falmouth Rd., Windham, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Wednesday, May 3, 2017, with her family by her side. She was born in Portland and raised in Westbrook, the daughter of Donald and Theresa (Sirois) Wildes. She worked for Sappi Paper Co for many years. Rachel had a zest for life and was such a joy to be around. Her cheerful, joking personality brought a smile to anyone who was around her. Besides her wonderful sense of humor, she was one of the most giving persons to anyone she met. She especially enjoyed spoiling her many nieces and nephews. Rachel enjoyed family get togethers, volleyball, pool parties, spending time in Rangely, and going for rides with her husband Wayne in their 1961 convertible. She also found great joy with her dog Angel. She is survived by her husband Wayne Morse of Windham; brother Dennis Wildes and his wife Alitza of Buxton; her sisters Donna Wildes of Westbrook, Linda Lessard and husband Mike of Windham, Carol Wildes of Windham, Becky Douglass and husband Jimmy of Westbrook, Sharon Collins and husband Buddy of Westbrook, and Leanne Brown and husband Mike of Limington; brothers-in-law Philip Morse and wife Louise of Raymond, Donald Morse of Limington, and Paul Morse of Baldwin; sisters-in law Ginnie Jordan of Windham; 19 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, May 11, followed by a memorial service at 8 PM at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. Interment will be at a later date at St. Hyacinth Cemetery. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. On line condolences may be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
