WESTBROOK—Phyllis Carolyn (Merrithew) Densmore, 86, a longtime resident of Westbrook, passed away October 13, 2017 at Evergreen Manor in Saco, surrounded by her loving son and family. She was born October 17, 1930, the daughter of Asa and Marguerite (King) Merrithew. Phyllis graduated from Falmouth High School, and married Arnold Carlton Densmore on August 18, 1950. She worked at McClellan's for 22 years and was the sexton at Westbrook Warren Congregational Church for 22 years. Phyllis then worked and resided at Hay Funeral Home for 17 years, and later resided at Presumpscot Commons from 2003 to 2013. Until September 2017, she lived at Countryside Adult Assisted Living in Buxton. Phyllis was well-known in the town of Westbrook where she loved her long walks. She enjoyed doing puzzles and listening to her favorite song "Beyond the Sunset". Above all, she loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her son, Stanley Densmore and his wife Shirley of Buxton; grandchildren, Stanley Densmore Jr. (Buzzi), Kandi Densmore, Kylee Desnmore, and great grandchildren, Braeden, Bryce, Keifer, and Lucca, and lovingly Kathy Densmore and her children Craig Pye, Heather and Brooklyn. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold Densmore; her youngest son, Bruce Densmore; and sisters Viola Whitten and Winona Ennis. A memorial graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11am at Blanchard Cemetery in Falmouth.
