Westbrook, Phillip G. Farr passed away July 25, 2017 at Maine Medical Center, Portland Maine. "Philsey", as he like to be called, was born in Portland, Maine February 17,1940. The eldest of four sons of Jacqueline and Harold Farr. He was predeceased by both parents and his second oldest brother, Dennis Farr of Chicago Illnois. Phillip attended Sacred Heart Grammar School in Portland. He was an altar boy and sang in the choir. He then attended Cheverus High School in Portland. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at age 17. Upon completing Military Service he was employed by General Electric in South Portland and thereafter at Phillips Elmet in Lewiston as their Purchasing Agent. He later was employed by various medical practices throughout the greater Portland area. Phillip is survived by the love of his life Janet Doyle Farr and his two brothers, Richard (Margaret deceased) of Standish Maine and Gerald and Sharon Farr of Augusta, Georgia. Phillip and Janet recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on May 27 this year. Phillip and Janet had no children but affectionately loved their four nieces, Julie Carrell (Husband Gregg), Laurie Bjorkland (Husband Bryan) Debbie Terrell, Stephanie Mette (Husband Michael) and nephew Ryan Farr. Phillip loved his pool in summers and snowmobiling with his buddies during the winters at Moosehead. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. The Blais and Hay Funeral Home at 35 Church Street, Westbrook, Maine welcomes visitors Friday July 28th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Service is at St. Hyacinth's Church (St. Anthony's Parish) in Westbrook, Maine Saturday at 10 AM, followed by interment in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery, Stroudwater Street, Westbrook, Maine.
