Philip H.
Doughty
Jul 1, 1939 — Jul 29, 2026
Westbrook, ME
Portland, ME - Philip H. Doughty passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 29, 2026, at The Cedars. A Portland High School graduate of the class of 1957, Phil proudly served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963.
Phil cherished many passions throughout his life, including golfing in the printer’s league, enjoying their annual trip to Rangely, and spending summers at the family camp on Long Lake. Game nights at The Birch Point Lodge were a treasured tradition, as were Easter celebrations at the family home in Westbrook. Christmas Eve was a special time shared with all his children and grandchildren, and winters spent in The Villages brought the joy of visits from family and friends.
Known for his kindness and sweet nature, Phil was always there to support family and friends. He dedicated many years to the printing and printing equipment industries before enjoying retirement in Naples, Maine, and The Villages, Florida.
Married to Juliette Tanguay of Westbrook in 1962, they built a loving home and were together for 56 years until her passing. Phil leaves behind his children Paul and Peter, late daughter Kathleen, daughters-in-law Becky and Leisa, son-in-law Jeremiah, and grandchildren Sarah, Ryan, Megan, Nicholas, Matthew, Hannah, and Joshua. His sister Hope and brother Bill also survive him.
Phil's legacy of kindness and love will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
