STANDISH - Peter L. Howe, 56, died on November 29, 2017. He was born in Portland on October 7, 1961. Peter grew up in Scarborough and was a 1979 graduate of Scarborough High School. He went on to receive his bachelor?s degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern Maine in 1983. He made his career as a computer programmer working through out Maine, and spent 20+ years at Kardex Remstar, and most recently at IDEXX in Westbrook. In 1992, Peter welcomed the birth of his son Christopher. He had a sensitive spirit, and was always kind and generous to those around him. Peter loved fireworks, and was an avid collector of them as well as guns. Halloween was his favorite holiday, and he always decked out his front lawn with large displays and special effects. Peter also enjoyed camping in Vermont with his close friend Jonathan. He also loved to play the piano. Peter is survived by his son Christopher Howe; former wife, Cindy Howe; several cousins; and his close friends, Jonathan Roderick and Terry Tompkins. He is predeceased by his mother, Jean (Bruce) Pelletier, and step-father, Floyd Pelletier. Services are private. Arrangements by the Gorham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee.
