PORTLAND—Pearl Aldana Mitchell, 86, died November 20, 2017 at the Barron Center. She was born January 21, 1931, a daughter of Albert and Letha (Beverage) Smith. Pearl was a member of the Pythian sisters for many years (Cumberland Temple and Rathbone Temple). She was also a member of the Persumpscot Grange in Portland. She is survived by her children, Betty Ann Bessette, Carol Goff and her husband Bill, Richard Mitchell and his wife Cristanne, Nora Strout and her husband Michael, Karen Mitchell, and Dwayne Mitchell and his wife Darla; a sister, June Forbes; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings, as well as a baby boy, Adam Mitchell, and a daughter, Patricia Mitchell. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1pm at the Windham Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 434 River Rd., Windham, ME 04062. A period of visitation will be held from 12noon until the time of service.
