Westbrook Paul Daniel Rairdon, 78 of Westbrook, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2017 at the Barron Center surrounded by his loved ones, following a long battle with Alzheimers Disease. Born on March 2, 1939, Paul was the son of Mark and Verda Rairdon of Houlton, ME. Paul grew up in Houlton and graduated in the top 10 and National Honor Society from Houlton High School in 1957. In June 1959, he married his childhood sweetheart, Rena (Farley) Rairdon. Paul began working for Saunders Brothers and they soon moved to Westbrook where they raised four wonderful children. Paul had many positions at Saunders Brothers and retired after 42 years as a Purchasing Agent. Paul enjoyed traveling, keeping his house in top-shape and spending time with his family- especially his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rena Rairdon; twin daughters, Catherine Miller of Standish, and Carol Friend of Buxton; sons Paul (Danny) Rairdon Jr. and his wife Linda of Skowheagan, and Gary Rairdon and wife Laurie of Westbrook; brother, Shirley Reardon and his wife Alta of Houlton; and Sister Janice Barton of Buxton; as well as 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie; brothers, Dennis and Ralph, and grandson, Matthew Rairdon. The Family would like to thank both the VNA Associates and the Entire Staff at the Barron Center for the love and care he received. Visiting hours will be held Monday October 2, from 4:00 – 7:00PM at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church Street, Westbrook. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday October 3, at St. Anthony's Church 268 Brown Street, Westbrook.
