Paul F. Kent, Sr. WESTBROOK-- Paul F. Kent, Sr. passed away on February 19, 2021 with family at his side. He was born on April 11, 1946, the son of Robert and Mary Joyce Kent in Illinois and grew up in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, graduating from Calumet High School. Paul served in the US Coast Guard from 1964 to 1968, manning lighthouses as an electrician along the Coast of Maine. Thereafter, he continued his civil service with the US Postal Service until he retired in 2002. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseshoes, traveling, family, and summers at Crescent Beach and Camp Zisk. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and a true blue friend. He taught his kids how to be kind, patient and true, how not to sweat the small stuff and take what life gives you, how to put your boots on and go to work every day, how to love your family no matter what, how to be a great brother, friend and neighbor, how to find something you were good at and stick with it. He never met someone who didn't become a friend. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Stephen, sister Mary Kay, brother Nick, and his first wife, Kay. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Gail, Tammie and husband Ditchie, Paul Jr. and wife Jennifer, and Todd and wife Karla, and stepchildren, Tracy, Holly, and Mark and his wife Leann. Paul had 12 grandchildren, Heather, Bob, Mandi, Kelsie, Kaleb, Emily and Nolan, step-grandchildren, Ashlee, Nik, Kaytlyn, Taylor and Gavin, and three great grandchildren Katie, Cassidy, and Lucy. He is also survived by siblings Judy, Bob, Patty (his twin), Peggy, John, Pete, and many loved nieces and nephews. A public visitation will take place on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 35 Church St., Westbrook, ME 04092. Celebrations of life will be planned for this summer at both Portland Head Light and Lake Superior in Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Paul's name may be made to the Susan G.
