Patricia W. Ahlquist, 84, of Gorham, Maine went to be with her Lord on March 12, 2016. She was born along with her identical twin in Standish, Maine on November 29, 1931 to Ernest and Pearl Weeman. She grew up in Westbrook, Maine and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1951. Before graduating high school, her love of music led her to sing with her sister Pauline on the Ken McKenzie show. She continued signing high soprano throughout her life to the delight of her youth choir, congregations and family. She spent many years working as a waitress at Tom's restaurant where she met the love of her life of 65 years. She then went on to cosmetology school and eventually opened her own shop, Patricia's Country Coiffeurs. Patricia and her husband Edward joined the Gideons International and spent 10 years traveling to spread the word of the Lord. Meanwhile, she worked alongside Edward on the farm they owned, selling produce at the roadside stand and winding thousands of Christmas wreaths, all the while teaching her three children how to manage the family farm stand. She took pride in her cooking and canning, passing her recipes onto her children and grandchildren. She attended New England Bible College alongside her husband and shortly after graduation in 1991 they accepted a position at the Turner Village Baptist Church where they lived and ministered for ten years. They retired to their home in Gorham where she lived out the rest of her days enjoying her family. Patricia is survived by her husband Edward, Daughter Pearl Douglas and her husband Blaine, Daughter Gayle Pooler and Son Rudolph Ahlquist and his wife Marcella, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
