Obituary

Patricia V. Tibbetts-Fecteau, cherished by many, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, at the age of 85 in Westbrook. Born on November 20, 1940, to Perley and Lillian Kennie, Patricia's life was a testament to love and dedication.

A proud graduate of Westbrook High School's class of 1959, Patricia embarked on a journey that would deeply touch those around her. She first married Thomas Tibbetts of Portland, sharing 39 wonderful years until his passing in 1998. Finding love again, she married Paul Fecteau in 2001, sharing beautiful times in Westbrook and Sable Lodge in South Portland.

Mrs. T, as she was affectionately known, dedicated 25 years to the Westbrook School system as a beloved bus driver. Her work brought immense joy, and she treasured the connections with the children she transported daily.

Her generous spirit shone through her volunteer work at St. Anthony's parish, where she contributed to their Fish Fry’s, guided the Catholic Youth Organization, and played guitar in the folk group. As a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Patricia found joy in community. Her passion for life extended to the fairways, where she enjoyed playing golf in a women's league.

Her legacy continues through her sons Lawrence Tibbetts (and wife Elizabeth) of Raleigh, NC, and Lance Tibbetts (and wife Tonya) of Leesburg, FL, her daughter Laurie Tibbetts of Roanoke, VA, and her son-in-law Dana Pickrell of Falmouth.  She also leaves behind her extended family: Brian Fecteau (and wife Katie), Keith Fecteau, and Lynn Kopac. Patricia's love lives on in her sister Mary Remick, sister-in-law Anne Kennie, Donnia Kennie, and numerous adored grandchildren: Andrew, Rebecca, Natanis, Kyle, Trista, Sierra, Thomas, Keith Jr., Zachary, and Nicholas.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husbands Thomas Tibbetts and Paul R. Fecteau, her daughter Lynda Pickrell, and siblings Lawrence, Robert, and Theresa Walker.

In her memory, donations can be made to the Law Enforcement National Memorial Fund, a tribute to her father's legacy. These can be made online at https://nieomf.org or sent to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, Supporter Service, 901 E. Street, NW Suite 100, Washington, DC 20004-2025.

Patricia's spirit and love touched many, filling hearts with warmth and leaving a lasting legacy.

A memorial service will be planned for the Spring of 2027.
