Obituary

Patricia Clarke, of Westbrook, Maine, went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2026, after a long illness. She was 79 years old.

Patricia was born in Gorham, Maine, on December 14, 1946, the daughter of Stanley and Avis (Bonney) Mayberry. She grew up in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1966.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, Patricia dedicated her life to caring for her family. She found great joy in creating beautiful things with her hands and was an avid seamstress, making all of her children's clothes when they were young. She was also a talented quilter and loved all kinds of crafts. Whether sewing, quilting, or working on a new craft project, she poured her creativity and love into everything she made.

Above all, Patricia's faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. She loved her family deeply and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Avis Mayberry, and her sisters, Nancy Clinch and Betty Locke.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas; her brother Richard and his wife, Sherry; her four children, Rick, Jennifer, Nathan and his wife, Wendy, and Ryan; and her five cherished grandchildren, Shilo, Alexis, Isaiah and his wife, Kaili, Jacob, and Hannah.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on Friday, July 3rd at Grace Baptist Church, 476 Summit Street in Portland. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by the service at 11am.

A burial service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 380 Stroudwater Street in Westbrook on Monday, July 6th at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland in Patricia’s memory.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the team members at Maine Medical Center who cared for Patricia. Their special care was felt not only by Patricia, but by her family too.
