Norma E. Doody, 88, of Carlson St., Westbrook, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 with her family by her side. She was born in Hanover, NH, the daughter of Jerry and Augusta (Pike) Relihan.  She was raised in Wilder, VT and So. Waterford, ME.   Norma graduated from Bridgton Academy. She served in the Women's Army Corp. during World War II.  She recently received a commemorative Silver Coin for her service in the army. She wore her original army uniform from 1945 to the ceremony. After serving in the military, she worked at Porteous and Bradlees Department Store for many years. She retired from Bradlees in 1995. She liked her get togethers and reunions; she enjoyed coordinating reunions for Bridgton Academy, friends from her days at the YWCA in the 1940's, and the Pine Tree Mini Tractor Pullers.  She enjoyed the outdoors, walking, and socializing with people.  She enjoyed watching the family participating in tractor pulling and stock car racing.  After retirement, she and Donald spent time in Daytona Beach each winter with friends. Norma is survived by her husband Donald Doody of Westbrook;  a son Jon Doody and wife Michelle of Westbrook; a daughter Jolaine Ricci and husband John of Westbrook; grandchildren Tony Ricci, Adam Ricci, Kyle Doody, and Ryan Doody, all of Westbrook;  great grandchildren McKenzie Ricci, and John Anthony Ricci. A celebration of her life will be held from 1 to 3 PM Sunday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook.   Private interment will be at a later date.   On line condolences may be expressed at www.blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
