Nicole Lyn Finlay Oct. 21, 1988 - Nov. 1, 2014 PORTLAND — Nicole Lyn Finlay died in the tragic house fire on 20 Noyes St., in Portland.       Nicole is the daughter of Lisa LeConte Mazziotti and John Mazziotti of Westbrook, and Rick and Maryanne Finlay of Old Orchard Beach. Nicole was exactly as friends and family described her. People gravitated to her as she was a great person who was outgoing, positive, altruistic, competent and friendly. She loved life and in her short time here on earth,  she engaged in so very much of it. Nicole danced at The Dance Studio; she was a Girl Scout, a camper, hiker, and skier. She was also a cheerleader, a field hockey player, modeled with Dee Cook, and acted at The Children's Theater. She was a star in the B+ Prod. of Kid Party at The Beach. Nicole attended Limerick and Westbrook schools, graduating in 2007. She worked for Zen Restaurants for a few years and recently with Green Light Studios which she enjoyed. She will be sadly missed by her mother and father; her step parents; as well as her "Pappy," Paul LeConte of Westbrook; her aunts and uncles, Michael and Bev LeConte of Westbrook and cousins Sean and Chris; Toby LeConte of Boothbay and cousins Rhonda, Brenda and BJ; and Joel Hawkes of Westbrook and cousin, "like a brother," Derek; Bill Finlay of New York and cousins Ryan and Scott; and Debbie and Bruce Miles of Old Orchard Beach and cousins Seth, Brook and Landry. Missing her so much will be aunts, "Boo" Bev and Murray Fletcher of Gorham and cousin Krista and her daughters Megan Dyer and Sierra Leone; and Kathy King of Westbrook and cousin Jeremy Alexander. Nicole's friends are numerous, kind and lovely. She was always someone they could come to for advice, needs, and help. They too will miss her. Nicole can be well remembered at Blais and Hay Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 9.
