Portland, Nellie Evelyn Campbell, 90 of Portland passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at her home. She was born on March 3rd, 1934 to Elton Whitney & Laura Newcomb in South Portland, Maine. She married her high school sweetheart John Campbell at the age of 19, and they enjoyed raising their family. Nellie loved to travel with her son Kevin and his wife Cindy. She enjoyed knitting and doing crosswords. Her son said, believe it or not she loved to clean. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband John, and her oldest son John. She is survived by her son Kevin, his wife Cindy and their daughter Kayla, with whom she resided. Her 4 daughters, Evelyn, Darlene, Lisa, & Lori and their spouses, and her son David and his wife, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren, and her granddaughter Tina who came and visited often and would take Nellie out. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 15th, from 12 to 4 PM, at Amvets in North Yarmouth, 874 North Road, North Yarmouth, ME.
