Nancy C. Buxton of Casco, Maine, age 78, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Maine Medical Center due to complications caused by pneumonia. She was born at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine on September 22, 1945. She was the daughter of Carl and Charlotte Rickett of Portland, Maine. Nancy spent her early years working at Ellis Paper Boy, then located on Thompson's Point, Portland, Maine and LaRosa's Market, then located on Washington Ave. Portland, Maine. She was married to Richard I. Buxton, Sr. of Michigan on November 6, 1965. Nancy was a proud mother and homemaker who loved her family, friends and church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and crafting. Nancy had a witty sense of humor that could put a smile on anyone's face and laughter anytime it was needed. Nancy was a regular member of the North Windham Union Church , United Church of Christ with her husband. She leaves behind her husband Richard I. Buxton Sr. and her 4 children- Ricky, Ronnie, Susie, and Debi along with her 5 grandchildren- Charlie, Robbie, River, Meadow,Tommy , and 2 step grandchildren- Jorge and Adrian. A memorial service will be held at North Windham Union Church, 723 Roosevelt Trail in Windham on Wednesday September 13th 6-8pm.
