Morris Overby, Sr. (Buck) passed away on Monday, September 18th at the age of 79 surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He is survived by his loyal and faithful wife Joyce Overby of 54 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Tina Cleveland (Adrian) Cleveland, Son Morris Overby Jr. (BJ), Grandchildren Kiarah (Warren) Cooper, Demonte Luter, Temperance Overby, Alaric Blake and Zadrian Cleveland. He is survived by his siblings Bettie Mosley, Gertrude Overby, Hallie Overby and predeceased by his siblings Lucille Clay, Lazarus Overby, Paul Overby. Buck was born in Clarksville, VA in 1944 and moved to Maine in 1967 to work construction. He worked for the New England Telephone company for 20 years. After retirement he started a successful cleaning company with his wife and most recently worked for Ryder delivering papers for the Portland Press Herald. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing cards. His family enjoyed joining him for BBQ's, big breakfasts and loved his fried chicken. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Visiting hours will be held at Dolby, Blais & Segee 35 Church street, Westbrook, Maine on Friday, September 29th From 10am – noon.
