Mimoza Dobra Sawtelle, beloved daughter, devoted wife, cherished mother, and adored grandmother, passed away on January 5, 2024, in Burlington, MA. Born on December 5, 1969, Mimoza touched countless lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering zest for life. Mimoza's most cherished accomplishment was her daughter, Eda (Alex) Dixon, and her grandson, Ollie. She shared an unbreakable bond with her late husband, Russell E. Sawtelle, whom she loved dearly. Family and friends were Mimoza's heartbeat; she found immense joy in their company. Professionally, Mimoza was a caring and skilled Medical Assistant. Her passion for her work extended to teaching Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy, where she nurtured and guided students toward success. Later in life, Mimoza discovered a passion for running and embraced it wholeheartedly. Her dedication led her through 15 marathons, including three World Marathon Majors alongside her daughter Eda. She accumulated a wealth of medals, bib numbers, and race shirts, a testament to her unwavering commitment and passion for the sport. Beyond running, Mimoza found joy in travel, cooking (her famous Baklava was adored by many), gardening, and knitting. Her generosity, strength, intelligence, and spontaneity endeared her to all who knew her. Mimoza's vibrant spirit and unwavering love will forever echo in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. She was a beacon of kindness, strength, and laughter-a remarkable mother, wife, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. May her memory be a blessing that lives on in each of us, keeping her light alive always.
