Michael Jensen, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on September 21, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on February 15, 1952, born in Portland Maine, Michael was a beacon of warmth and kindness who touched the lives of everyone he met. Michael was the cherished son of Charles and Mary Jensen, who have predeceased him.

 He attended Portland schools, where he laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for people. His career spanned several reputable organizations, including Warren Bros, Tilcon, Me, and Pike Industries, where he was known for his diligence and camaraderie. 

the autumn of 1979, Michael married the love of his life, Bette, and together they shared 47 wonderful years filled with laughter and love. Their marriage was a testament to enduring partnership and unwavering support, setting a strong example for their children and grandchildren. 

Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Bette, and their children, Trina and Joshua, who carry forward his legacy of compassion and humor. A man of simple pleasures.

Michael found immense joy in the company of his family, often spending weekends camping in the great outdoors. His love for nature was matched only by his passion for tending to his yard, where he found peace and fulfillment. He was a man of many interests, including working on word search puzzles and cheering on his favorite football teams. Michael's enthusiasm for wrestling was infectious, bringing excitement and fun to family gatherings. Michael's sense of humor and ability to make friends easily were among his most cherished qualities. He had an innate ability to bring warmth and laughter into any room, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. His love for animals was evident in the care and affection he showed towards them, further highlighting his gentle and compassionate spirit.

 Michael is also survived by his sister, Noreen Jensen, and brother, John Jensen, along with his treasured grandchildren, Evan, Elizabeth, Kaleb, Victoria, and Liam, who brought immense joy to his life. His family was his pride and joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire them.

 A service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held on October 9, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the VFW located at 687 Forest Ave, Portland, ME.

Michael Jensen's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His laughter, kindness, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered and cherished for generations to come.
