Obituary

Westbrook – Michael C. Barrett, 59, of Ashleigh Lane Standish, died unexpectedly Friday May 25. He was born in Machias,  the son of Francis Harold and Gloria Pitts Barrett. He was raised in Sebago Lake Village, and attended Bonney Eagle High School. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps. Mike had been employed by the Shurtleff Co. for many years, he was also employed by St. Hyacinth Church. He was known for his humor, he loved to fish, go camping, sing karaoke, eat spaghetti at his mother in laws every Sunday night and visit just about everybody in Sebago Lake Village. He loved and honored the people he met and grew up with and usually attended their funerals He was predeceased by his father,his step father Arthur John Pitts and a son Shawn Laskey. He is survived by his wife and soul mate Debra A. Davis Barrett, his mother Gloria Barrett Pitts of Biddeford, sons David Barrett of Standish and Paul Laskey of Augusta, grandchildren Gage, Kaylinn and Shawna, brothers James "Bubba" Barrett of Westbrook, Terrence Barrett of Biddeford and Francis Barrett of Florida, sister Pamelia Barrett of Hollis. Visiting hours will be held Saturday June 2, form 2:00 p.m. until the start of Funeral Services at 4:00 p.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church St. Westbrook.
