WESTBROOK - Maureen Lynn Tanguay, 75, died unexpectedly on October 24, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Portland on February 13, 1947 to Edmund and Phyllis (Brigham) Tanguay. Maureen graduated from South Portland High School, Class of 1965. After graduation she was employed as a secretary, first in the Washington DC area, then Salt Lake City, Utah, and a law firm in Portland, Maine. Maureen enjoyed the company of her cats as many as four at one time. She is survived by her sister, Ann (Tanguay) Gammon and husband, Dana of Scarborough; brother, George Tanguay and wife, Carolina of Raymond; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Maureen was predeceased by her older brother, Gerard "Butch" Tanguay. The family would like to thank the staff at Larrabee Village for their support during her residency. An hour of visitation will be held, 11 a.m. to noon, Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church Street where a memorial service will be held at noon.
