RAYMOND— Matthew Adam Poole, 33, lost his battle with Leukemia on June 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Matt was born in Calais on November 14, 1984, a son of Robert A. Poole and Christel (Wunder) James. He grew up in Calais, receiving his education from local schools. While in school he met the love of his life, Crystal J. Lennon and the two were married on May 5, 2007. Together, they made their home in Raymond, raising two beautiful daughters whom Matt adored, Juliana and Michaela. Matt was a hard-worker who took pride in providing for his family. He was the proud owner of Poole's Drywall Inc., a company he formed 8 years ago. Matt was truly skilled in the art of drywall, a perfectionist which made the end product a success appreciated by his customers. An avid outdoorsman, some of Matt's favorite past times were spent deer hunting, fishing and boating, especially on Sebago Lake. Above all, Matt was a family man. All who came to meet and know Matt, loved him, he had a charming way about him with a kind heart and was good natured to boot. An amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend to all, Matt will be remembered as a warrior through his fight of Leukemia, sense of humor, and beautiful soul. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Poole; daughters, Juliana and Michaela Poole; mother, Christel James and step-father, Raymond "Butch" James; a brother Robert Poole II, and a sister KadieLee Poole. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Poole, and father Robert Poole Sr. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2pm at the Windham Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 434 River Rd., Windham, ME. In lieu of flowers, Matt's family encourages folks to take a couple hours out of their day to donate blood or platelets, which was such a crucial part of Matt's journey through Leukemia. Donations can be made at your local Red Cross or hospital.
