STANDISH – Marykathryn Ann Crabtree, 53, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family on September 27, 2018. She was appropriately born on Valentine's day in 1965, the daughter of James and Maryann (Gallagher) Henick. When Marykathryn was seven, the family moved from Missouri to Maine. She attended local schools, spending two years at Catherine McAuley and graduated from Windham High School in 1983. She then furthered her education at Andover College, graduating with her CNRA as a Medical Technician. She worked at Ledgewood Manor and Sedgewood Commons where she was known as one of the best caregivers on staff. Marykathryn was a selfless woman with a big heart. Even with her progressing Neuromyopathy, she always fought through every hardship she faced with positivity and courage. She was her family's gift from God that will be forever cherished and never forgotten. Even when she could no longer stand, her wings and family's encouragement gave her the strength to fly. She continued to prove those wrong who thought they knew right, and will always be an inspiration to her family, who looked up to her with endless admiration. She is survived by her husband; Raymond Crabtree; children, Nathaniel and Nicole Crabtree; mother, Maryann Henick; siblings, Mathew Henick, James Henick and his wife Mary, Paul Henick, Bridget Weisser and her husband Michael; mother in law Gladys Wood; brother in law, Randy Crabtree and his girlfriend Kimberly McDonough, sister in laws Donna Corkum and Debbie Richards, and brother in law Robert Crabtree. She was predeceased by her father, James Henick; and a brother in law Richard Crabtree. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 2pm, at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 35 Church St, Westbrook, ME 04038. Burial will follow at St. Hyacinth Cemetery on Stroudwater Street in Westbrook.
