Mary Anne Blanchet, 96, of Pennell St., Westbrook, passed away at her home on Friday, Jan, 1, 2016. She was born in Portland, the daughter of John and Amelia Wornecke. Mary Anne was raised in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School. She lived on the family farm on County Road for many years and moved to Naples in the late 70's, where she lived for 20 years before returning to Westbrook. Mary Anne expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com. worked at S.D. Warren for many years before retiring. She loved to sew and crochet. She was very crafty and made many of the clothes for her family. She also enjoyed gardening.  She is survived by her sons John Warren of Sabattus, and Stan and wife Mary Warren of Gorham; daughters Jeannette Warren of Westbrook , She was predeceased by her husband Lucien Blanchet. Joanne Warren of Naples, Nancy Bryant of Arizona, Helen Jordan and husband Darrell of Windham, and Anne "Micki" Blanchet of South Portland; 18 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony's Church Brown St., Westbrook, at 10 AM Wednesday. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.
