Portland –             Mary Alexander Work, 83 of Portland, ME passed away on June 22, 2015 at the Barron Center.  Mary was born on September 24, 1931 to George and Albert Gaynor Alexander.  Mary grew up on Peaks Island, ME.  Mary attended local schools, she was a homemaker for most of her life.  In her later years she worked at Devonshire Manor until retirement.              Mary is pre-deceased by her parents George and Albert Alexander, a sister Connie Mcneal, her husband Donald Work and her beloved daughter Pamela Luczkowski.             She is survived by sons Michael Luczkowski and wife Kathy of Litchfield Me, Joseph Luczkowski of Westbrook ME and Donald Work of Westbrook ME.  Brother Louis Alexander and wife Marion of Scarborough, sister Trudy Howland of Jamestown RI, and George Alexander and wife Emily of Portland, 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.              The family of Mary wish to thank all the staff and care givers of the Barron Center for the excellent care she received while in their care.  A private burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, at the request of Mary there will be no funeral services.  Online condolences can be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com
