Waite, her brother Winfield, her sisters Agnes Skidgell, and Francis Savage, her granddaughter Shannon, and her grandson Norman. Norman and Mary were married on June 26, 1948 and lived most of their married life in the East Millinocket area. Shortly after Norman's passing in 1990, Mary moved to Windham, Maine in order to be near her daughters Paula and Cindy. In recent years Mary was a resident of Little Falls Landing in South Windham, where she was blessed with many wonderful friends and neighbors. Mary is survived by her five children and their spouses; Ronald and Barbara Waite, Paula Webster, Gregory and Jean Waite, Cindy Waite and Joseph Bourque, Norman and Jackie Waite, as well as, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a great number of nieces and nephews. Mary was a strong woman who stood by her convictions and always spoke her mind. She was an avid supporter of the "Underdog" and spent many years knitting hats and mittens for the homeless and the local school children. She gave generously to multiple Veterans charities and was quick to speak up for anyone she felt needed an ally. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. To all who shared in the care and everyday comfort of Mary in recent years, our family wish to express our deep appreciation of your love and kindness. Mary had a special place in her heart for each of you. A celebration of Mary's life is being planned for May 19, 2019 in Windham. Details will be announced as the date nears.
