PORTLAND – Mary E. Priest, 81, passed away on February 25, 2022 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. She was born on November 21, 1940, the only daughter of Verriell H. and Mary (Conrad) McLeod. Mary attended Portland Schools and was a homemaker her whole life, always helping to raise her grandchildren or babysit when needed. She enjoyed playing Bingo, scratch tickets, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed her Mother's Day adventures with her daughters and granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Dick" Priest; and brothers, Joseph and Verriell, Jr. "Sonny". Mary is survived by her sons, Richard and wife, Alva, Christopher and wife, Judy, and David; daughters, Cynthia, and Diana and her husband, Mark; brother, Eugene McLeod and his wife, Brenda of Rocky Mount, NC; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friend and sister-in-law, Joan McLeod of Bradenton, FL; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church Street, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.
