M. Dorothy Martin, 82, of Westbrook, passed away on Sunday, May 19th. A life-long resident of Westbrook, she was born here, the daughter of John and Mary (Gallant) Martin. She graduated Westbrook High School in 1949 where she was the captain and star player on the championship basketball team that year. Mary worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 32 years in the customer service department. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Westbrook, a frequent blood donor, enjoyed bowling, playing cards and Bingo, and helped deliver for meals on wheels. She received awards for the Meals on Wheels program and as a frequent blood donor. She is pre deceased by her parents, three brothers, Joseph Emile, Robert, and Lionel Martin, two sisters Irene Bogdahn and Lorette Minervino. Mary is survived by her sister Leona Arsenault, her sister in law Claire Martin, and many Nieces and Nephews. There will be visiting hours held from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Anthony's Church.  Interment will take place Tuesday May 28th at 10 AM at St. Hyacinth Cemetery.
