Mary C. (Jane) Guitard-Cashner, 89, of Gorham, passed away  peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born in Westbrook, the daughter of James and Ellen Guitard.  She attended St. Hyacinth and Westbrook High School.  In 1944 Mary moved to New Jersey where she worked for the Singer Co. as Fabric Manager.  She returned to Westbrook in 1975. Mary loved playing cards, dancing, and having family parties for her loved ones to keep the family together.  Her nieces and nephews always enjoyed the gatherings. She was predeceased by her husband James Cashner.  She is survived by a daughter Janice West and husband Walter of New Port Richie, FL; son James Loveland of Gorham; a brother Robert Guitard and wife Geraldine, of Portland; a stepdaughter Patricia Lynn Morris and husband Jim of Somers Point, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM Thursday, Feb. 28th, at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook.  Spring burial will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.  On line condolences may be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
