Westbrook, Mary Elaine Finik, 91, of Webster Ave., passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2017, in her sleep at her home. She was born on August 4, 1925 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Chris and Georgia (Wilson) Adams. She graduated from Deering High in Portland, Maine. She married Joseph Finik in June, 1949. She raised three boys, Joseph (Stephen), John, and Jeff in Westbrook. She went to work at Westbrook City Hall in the City Clerk's Office. She retired in 1990. Elaine loved to knit and enjoyed going to craft shows. She enjoyed taking tours around New England. She is survived by her sons Joseph Stephen Finik, John Finik, and Jeff Finik; and three grandchildren, Chris, Adam, and Hayley. The family would like to thank the staff at the Barron Center and Hospice of Southern Maine for their care and compassion. Visiting hours will be from 11AM to 12:30 PM Wednesday, July 12, at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A Memorial Mass will follow at 1 PM at St. Hyacinth Church (St Anthony's Parish), 268 Brown St., Westbrook. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.
