Martha Frances Henrikson 90, Standish Maine
Martha Frances Henrikson died peacefully in her sleep, at home, April 1, 2026. She was born on November 2,1935, the daughter of Arthur Holmes and Virginia Bennett. Martha graduated from Morse High School, Bath Maine, class of 1954. She met the love of her life, Carl F Henrikson, and was married four months later. They were married for 67 years. They raised 6 children in Cape Elizabeth.
Martha went to night school to become a CNA at Maine Medical Center. She worked at Jorden Marsh for several years before she retired. She was also a Weight Watcher Lecturer and worked at Maxwell’s farm stand. Martha was a member of St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Windam for 30 years. Martha always made room in her heart, home, and table.
She is survived by her 6 children. Carl J. Henrikson of Scarborough, Vicki Henrikson of Auburn, Ruth Stanton and her husband Scott of Standish, Karen Murphy and her husband John of Portland, Cynthia Grant and her husband Kevin of Naples and David E. Henrikson and his wife Carrie of Westbrook. Fifteen grandchildren, Marcia Griffin, Nina Crist, Carl (Joe) Henrikson Jr., Amber Hamilton, Brianna Tomasello, Eric Myers, Elizabeth Stanton, Ryan Stanton, Cameron Murphy, Lars Murphy, Casey Grant, Colin Grant, Caitlin Grant, David (D.J.) Henrikson Jr. Sean Henrikson. Twenty great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Her sister C. Leah Holmes and her husband David Lyon of Lisbon Falls. Sister-in-law Sylvia Ames and her husband Harold of Arrowsic. Martha was predeceased by her husband Carl F. Henrikson, her parents, her sister Marion Redlon and husband Richard (Dick) Redlon, brother-in-law Henrey Henrikson and wife Beverly, sisters-in-law's Astrid Dagget and her husband Douglas, E. Joanne Pottle and her husband David, L. Marie Snowdon and her husband Fredrick. Granddaughter Amanda Hamilton and grandson Karl Justin Hamilton.
Funeral service to be held April 25th, 3:00pm at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church 40 Windham Center Road, Windham.
