Portland, ME -- Marsha Stuart Sharpe, 83 passed away peacefully Monday June 3, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born December 12, 1940 in Norfolk, Virginia the daughter of Olivia Spalholz and Don Weller. Cooking and food were her passion. A true Mainer, she loved lobster rolls, Italian subs, and stuffed lobster. Some of her favorite dishes to cook were her homemade mac and cheese, sheet cake, puffies…anything with butter. She knew how to draw people together and was always ready to listen. Towards the end of her life, she enjoyed painting landscapes/flowers and reconnecting with family. Members of her family include her daughter Cynthia (Sharpe) LaPorta and her husband Carmine LaPorta; her grandchildren Tyler Brown, husband Michel Brown, Nicole Mutchler, husband Joseph Mutchler, Juliana LaPorta, and her grandpups Kato, Moose, and Murphy. Marsha grew up with two beloved sisters, Carol (Spalholz) Phillips and Dana (Spalholz) Plummer. She was the last surviving family member of her generation. She is also survived by her family dogs, Stewie and Chai. Marsha's celebration of life will be held at Bruno's Restaurant and Tavern, 33 Allen Ave, Portland, ME 04103 on June 27th from 5:30-9:30pm. Memorials in her name may be made to Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland,
