BOWERBANK, ME – Marjorie E. Robinson, 93, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2017 at the Barron Center in Portland after a short illness. She was born on May 8, 1923 in Portland and lived a long and healthy life at almost 94 years old. Marjorie loved to do any kind of fancy work, take care of her family, and spending time with them. She will always be remembered by how much she loved to whistle. She was predeceased by her husband, Lee P. Robinson, Sr., her sister, Joan Cleaves, and two daughters, Judy and Irma. Surviving are four sons, Frank, Lee, Tim, and James; one daughter, Donna Chase; six grandchildren, Tracie and Kevin, Lois and Archie, Richard and Kenny; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1:00pm on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham. A period of visitation will be from 12:30pm until the time of the service at the chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Bowerbank. God looked around his garden And found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone… For part of us went with you The day God called you home.
