STANDISH-- Marion Elise "Duke" Douglass, 79, of Standish, died December 30, 2019, unexpectedly at Maine Medical Center. She was born in Standish on October 11, 1940 to the late Ray and Florence (Manchester) Harmon and is predeceased by eight brothers and sisters. She worked at Sebago Inc. for many years, followed by Sedgewood Commons and the Park Danforth. Duke loved to go to yard sales and craft fairs and she could be found spending many hours reading or hunting for a book she had yet to read. Duke is lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Gene; their children Linwood Crowe Junior, Laurie Gray and Ray Douglass; four grandchildren, Jason Crowe, Mandy Verrill, Melissa Crowe and Jessie Gray; her eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Norman Harmon, and wife, Eleanor Harmon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. At Duke's request, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be held in the spring after her burial.
