Marie Marthe Eva Paquet Lemay, 84, died Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Gorham House. She was born May 23, 1929 in Thetford Mines, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Joseph and Marie Croteau Paquet. Marie was raised, educated, and resided in Thetford-Mines until she married Donald Lemay in 1957 and moved to Westbrook, Maine. She helped raise her family there and remained there until a year after Donald's passing in 2007. She had spent the last six years at Gorham House where she appreciated the friendly help from all the staff. Marie was a communicant of St. Hyacinth Church and served as a collector for many years. She was an active member of the Ladies of St. Anne, serving as secretary and leading the prayers at many member wakes. She was also very active in the St. Vincente de Paul Society Thrift Shop for over 17 years also serving as treasurer. She really enjoyed her time spent with friends with these organizations. Marie made many bus trips to St. Anne de Beaupre, Quebec with the Ladies of St. Anne. Marie was a stay at home Mom and enjoyed cooking big meals for Donald and the four boys; she made many good desserts as well. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, brother Honore', and her sisters Irene and Theresa. Marie is survived by four sons: Peter and wife Kristen of Westbrook, David of Dover Foxcroft, John of Scarborough, Richard and wife Lynn of Scarborough; five grandchildren: Thomas, Allison, Sarah, Kyle, and Kaitlyn; a brother-in-law Francois Dumont of Sherbrooke, Quebec and a brother-in-law Oril Lemay of Florida.
