Margaret Alice Willette, age 85, passed away on April 13, 2026, at Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine. 

Known affectionately as Maggie or Peggy to her friends and family, Margaret was born on January 16, 1941. Margaret spent her professional life as an office manager at Saco River Telephone Co., now known as GoNetspeed in New Gloucester before retiring as a receptionist. She was a graduate of John Bapst High School in Bangor, Maine. 

Surviving Margaret are her children, Laurencia Bourget of Westbrook, and Steven Willette and his partner Ann Burrill of Westbrook; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Bourget of Boston and Jacqueline Bourget of Portland; her siblings, Bernard Harkins (Julie Eveleth), Mary Alice Commeau, Kathleen Harkins (Leyton Sewell), Leslie Harkins, and Anthony Harkins (Nancy); along with many cherished nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Judge Bernard L. and Alice F. Harkins, her siblings Gracia Largay and Michael Harkins. 

A woman of many passions, Margaret loved cooking, buying gifts, and walking. Her family was her greatest joy, and she devoted much of her time to them.
