GORHAM- Marc Joseph Gallant, 63, passed away on June 24, 2018. He was born in Rumford, ME, on May 26, 1955 to Joseph and Eleanor (Chiasson) Gallant. He was a 1973 graduate of Mexico High School. In his early years, Marc enjoyed camping, biking, and playing men's softball. He especially loved coaching boys rec. baseball in Westbrook, girls rec. softball in Gorham, and coaching boys indoor soccer in Saco. Marc also enjoyed walking and tracking the stock market in his later years. He was an employee for Paul G. White Flooring as a cost analyst before his retirement in 2011. In addition to his parents, Marc is predeceased by one sister, Betty Frankle. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary (Libby) Gallant of Gorham; two sons; David Gallant and wife Melissa (Foley) of St. Cloud, FL., Jacob Gallant of Gorham, and one daughter, Kasey Gallant, of Gorham. One brother, John Gallant, of Arundel; three grandchildren; Kobe, Lillian, and Preston, all of St. Cloud, FL; two sisters-in-law, Julie Libby of Westbrook and Jo Ann (Libby) Allard and husband, Timothy of Gorham; two nephews Brian Frankle of Bangor, Timothy Allard and wife, Sarah (Hill) of, Boylston, MA; two nieces, Melissa Allard of Buxton and Lindsay Allard of Standish. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Avita of Stroudwater for the loving care that Marc received while he was there. They would also like to thank Compasus for their end of life care and family support during this difficult time. A memorial service for Marc will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 434 River Rd. Windham, ME with Rev. Philip A. Shearman officiating. A private Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Gorham. Please dress casual in everyday life because that's how Marc was.
