Portland,   Mahala C. Hersom Warren Stain, 83, passed away Saturday, June 17, at the Barron Center in Portland. She was born in East Corinth, the daughter of Maurice and Melvina (Chapman) Hersom. She lived in Portland and Westbrook. Mahala worked at Barber Foods for many years before retiring. She was a strong woman who took great joy in raising her family. She kept a great sense of humor throughout her lifetime and she loved to dance. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Carroll; brothers George, Clyde, and Leslie Hersom; sisters Charlotte (Hersom) Brown, Daphne (Hersom) Huff; son Jeffrey jones; son-in-law John Malonson; and grandson Keith A. Warren. She is survived by her son Leon K. Warrn Sr; daughters Linda M. Prue, Debra A. Melonson, Lola M. Reny, and Robin J. Patchell; her sister Lola (Hersom) Emery; grandchildren  Stacy L. Malonson, Leon Warren Jr, Joseph Warren, Garrett Patchell, John Reny III, Tanesha Warren, April Warren, Kylie Patchell; great grandchildren Krista Warren, Karisa Warren, Justin Sands, Keira Sands; sons in law Stephen Prue, John Reny Jr, and Robert Patchell; and many nieces and nephews.
