Gorden and Lulie M. Burkett and later became a longtime resident of Westbrook Maine, Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph O. (Rudy) Vincent. Delighted as well as daunted by the prospect of nursing school, Madeline packed her bags for Portland, Maine. The couple married in Westbrook on June 16, 1941. They had two children, Carole A. Phillipe (Dennis) of Taunton MA, and Michael A. Vincent (Nancy) of La Jolla CA. Madeline worked full-time and spent 28 years as a Registered Nurse for SD Warren. Often she would be returning from work in time to fix the morning meal and tend to the kids as Rudy was leaving for his work shift at SD Warren. Madeline's hobbies included beautiful embroidery, sewing, gardening and fishing with Rudy. Heading out to 'Camp' on the weekends with family and friends was a highlight for them! After retiring, Madeline & Rudy wintered in Dunedin, Fl for 20 years. They made many new friends and fond memories over the years, thoroughly enjoying their hard earned retirement.
