LOUISE KITTY HARMON SABATTUS - Louise Kitty Harmon, known as "Kitty" by friends and family, passed peacefully the morning of Friday, December 1, 2023, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, after a short but brave battle with Melanoma cancer. She was born August 15, 1972, in Seattle, Washington, to her parents, Louise (Polito) Ordway and George W. Baker. Kitty received her GED in Olympia, Washington, before enlisting in the Washington National Guard in 1993, where she achieved the rank of Specialist, and was a motor transport operator from 1993 to 1996. Kitty met Frederick Harmon in 1998 while working at a Days Inn in Massachusetts. They were married in 2000, welcomed their daughter, Trinity Harmon, in 2002, and divorced in 2006. In 1999, she began working at MEMIC in Portland, Maine and continued there until 2021. Kitty later met Curtis Sprague in 2021 and they became engaged in 2023. Kitty and Curtis shared their beautiful home in Sabattus with their three cats, Harper, Juney, and Rev, and a dog, Rocky. In 2022, she briefly worked at CMMC in medical records before beginning work at the Shalom House in Portland, Maine, where she performed accounting functions and met a group of wonderful people. Kitty is predeceased by her father, George W. Baker, who served 13 years in the U.S. Navy. She is survived by her daughter, Trinity Harmon of Gray; her mother, Louise (Polito) Ordway of Milford, NH; her siblings, Susan Goodrick of Vancouver, Canada, Laura Baker, Nelson Baker, Elliot Baker, all of Milford, NH; and her nephews, Ryan Brody of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Jeremy Baker of Beverly, MA. Her family and friends remember Kitty for her laugh, kindness, and beauty. The family thanks the caregivers of Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, the nurses and doctors on the oncology team at Maine Medical Center, and the team at Maine Health Cancer Care for the wonderful and loving care Kitty received through her diagnosis. Visiting hours will be held at Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd, Windham on Friday, December 15th beginning at 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Joyce officiating.
