Linda Whittaker of Limington, ME, 75, passed away on May 19, 2025, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, after a long struggle with vascular dementia. She was the devoted wife and best friend of Roy Whittaker for 57 years, and the cherished heart of their family.  She was born Linda Delores Stowell on March 25, 1950, in Brockton, MA. She grew up in Bridgewater, MA. It was there, while picking strawberries during the summer months at the C. N. Smith Farm in East Bridgewater, that she met her High School sweetheart, Roy. They began their lifelong journey together, marrying at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater in 1968. Linda and Roy held residences in Bridgewater, Plymouth, and Carver MA, before settling down in retirement in Limington Linda was the loving glue that held her family together, a woman of quiet strength and a delightfully sharp wit. She had an uncanny ability to offer the perfect piece of advice, always given with kindness and discretion, making her the trusted confidante for many. Her home was the family's hub, a place where love was the main ingredient, and everyone knew they were her top priority. You might have found her sitting on the porch with her friend Tracy talking about nothing at all or expertly navigating the aisles of country stores or on one of her famous bargain-hunting yard sale expeditions with her sister, Brenda. A testament to her remarkable skill at identifying good deals, a talent she truly mastered. This keen eye also made her an early and very successful eBay entrepreneur, unearthing unique treasures for a wider audience after her retirement from bookkeeping activities in the late 90's. She was known to have bought out entire craft, sewing, or fabric stores to supplement her hobbies. Beyond these ventures, she poured her creativity into her many gardens, her sewing projects and her quilting. For Linda, these weren't just pastimes, they were ways she expressed her love and ingenuity. She especially enjoyed making holiday meals for her family.  Linda will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Roy. Also mourning her loss are her three children and their families: Roy Jr., his wife Mari, and their daughters Chloe (husband Jake), Lucy, and Grace; Bradley, his wife Misty, and their sons Bailey, Timothy (wife Ashlee), and Alex; and Leslie, her husband Adrian, and their children Reagan, Nate, Hayden, and Leslie's stepdaughter Willow and her daughters, Ivory and Indigo. Linda was the proud grandmother to these ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She will also be deeply missed by her sister Brenda Mattia (husband Gary) and her brother Donald (Skip) Stowell, and myriad other nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters in law. The family would also like to express their heartfelt thanks and love to Linda's companion, Chris Daniels, for the care, friendship, and love she offered Linda over the past several years. Thanks also to Beacon Hospice of South Portland, ME for providing services that allowed Linda to spend her last days at home with her loving family. She was predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Marguerite and Joe DasNeves, and her sister Donna Zaifides. A celebration of life will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Monday June 30, 2025, at Dolby Blais & Segee Funeral Home 76 State Street, Gorham with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM.
