Obituary

Windham- Lillian Mae Plummer, 88, passed away at her home in Windham on Saturday, July 28, 2018 with her children by her side. One of eleven children, she was born in Poland Springs on October 21, 1929, the daughter of Raymond and Elsie (Martin) Mains. She grew up in Gorham and attended the Old Robie School. She worked for Freeman's Store in South Windham, where she met Clifford Plummer Sr. The two were married in 1947 and settled in the house in Windham where Clifford was born to raise their family. She was a member of the Westbrook Assembly of God. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, knitting, canning, and doing things around her home. She always hosted family gatherings and enjoyed doing the cooking for them. She made her own homemade root beer, and she also made and sold butter from the milk cows on the farm. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, and her 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son Danny Plummer, and his wife Patty of Windham, her daughter Bonnie Miller, and her husband Ray of Windham, her stepson Clifford Plummer Jr. and his wife Cathy of Westbrook, her grandchildren Lisa and Travis, and her great grandchildren Brock, Brenden, and Jaelyn, and many nieces and nephews. Lillian's family would like to thank her doctors, Dr. Tiffany Segry, Dr. Robert Zimmeriman, Dr. Eric Holmes, and Dr. August Valanti, also her VNA team of wonderful ladies who cared for her, Nurse- Kim Brewster, Health Aid- Judy Jones, Social Worker- Erica Petri, and Chaplin- Jennifer Mancini, plus the weekend coverage team. Family and friends are invited to attend an hour of visitation on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 12-1 PM at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 434 River Rd. A service will be held at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place after at Arlington Cemetery in Windham. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lillian's memory to VNA Home Health & Hospice, 50 Foden Rd, South Portland, ME 04106.
