BUXTON – Lewis Edward Proctor, 79, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Pinnacle Health and Rehab in Canton where he was a resident.
Lewis was born in Danville Junction, Maine on April 7, 1937, the son of the late Randall and Ruth (Fuller) Proctor. He worked at Morin Brick in Danville and was a truck driver for 25 years.
Family members include his brother, Donald Proctor and his wife Charlotte of York; his sister, Margo Mercier and her husband Richard of Auburn; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Frealand Proctor; two sisters, Barbara Lee and Freda Morrill; his loving companion Leda Plummer.
Family and friends would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Pinnacle who cared for him so well, especially Shelly Harlow who had a special place in his heart. Sincere thanks to Beacon Hospice who provided comfort to Lewis at the end of his life.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11:00am at the Village Cemetery, Gray.
