Lawrence E. Chandler Jr, 83, of Hollie Lane, Standish, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his home. He was born in Portland, the son of Lawrence Sr and Jennie (Grant) Chandler.  He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and in the Coast Guard. Larry retired as a Regional Manager for Coca Cola, after a 38 year career. Larry had a passion for car racing and was very involved in Beech Ridge Motor Speedway since the early 1960's and throughout his lifetime.  He drove race cars, drove the pace car and up until last year drove the fire truck there. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Donna (McKenney) Chandler of Standish; son Kenneth Chandler of North Carolina and Larry McKenney of Standish; daughter Lawrene Alexander of Saco; brother David Chandler of Ossippee, NH; his sister Pat Salvatore of Peabody, MA; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a step-brother John Chandler of Buxton. A Memorial Service will be held from 1 to 4 PM Saturday, March 21, at Pine Tree Estates.  Interment will be at a later date. On line condolences may be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
