Lauris Champagne passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026 at Woodlands Memory Center in Bridgton, Maine, at the age of 75. 

Lauris was the daughter of Richard and Joyce Viles, who predeceased her. She was a graduate of Falmouth High School in 1969 and made her mark in the professional world with a remarkable 40-year career at UNUM Insurance company.

Her passion for helping others extended beyond her career. Lauris was an active and devoted member of the Sebago Fire Department, serving as an EMT for many years and even leading the department for a time. Her commitment was further reflected in her enthusiastic support for several local causes, where she volunteered her time and energy to make a difference.

Lauris's family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She leaves behind Jermey and Anna Champagne who will forever hold her memory close. Her legacy continues in her precious grandchildren, Jaden and Gabriel Champagne, who brought her immense joy and pride. Lauris is also survived by her brothers Richard and Keith Viles who will remember her fondly.

Visitation will be held Friday September 11, 2026 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Dolby, Blais, & Segee Windham Chapel located at 434 River Road, Windham, Maine. A Graveside Service Saturday September 12, 2026 at 11:00 am at Babb Cemetery Hancock Pond Road Sebago, Maine with a Celebration of life immediately following at Potter Gym, Sebago, Maine.
