Laurent “Larry” Chiasson, 85, of Gorham, Maine, passed away on October 24, 2026.

He was born to Ernest and Bridget Chiasson on July 26,1941 and raised in New Brunswick, Canada. He came to the US in the 1960s to work as a laborer and built his life in Maine.

He worked for many years, for some time as a baker, and found his craft with tile work with Capozza Tile, he proceeded to spend a majority of his career afterwards with Paul G White tile company in Portland from their earliest days up until retirement.

He enjoyed watching wrestling and was a big fan of hockey along with the rivalries that came with the sport. Larry enjoyed being outdoors and was perfectly content to sit outside on a sunny day and take in nature. He loved his time at home with his wife Terri. Larry was a kindhearted man, he never hesitated to help friends, family, or even a random stranger in any way he saw the opportunity. He spent several years, in addition to working full time and providing for his family, being a caretaker for a close friend. It wasn’t because he was asked, or had an obligation, he did it out of the goodness out of his heart and that is the core of the kind of man he was.

Larry is survived by his wife Terri of 42 years, his daughter Danielle and her husband Scott, His son Eric and his wife Harmony and granddaughters Alvia and Avery, His son Peter and grandsons Caleb and Logan and his son Larry Jr and grandson Noah. Much extended family in Canada.
