CASCO – Lauraett (Laurie) Spiller Baggett, 82, of Casco passed away after a long illness on the evening of March 17, 2021. She was born March 5, 1939 in South Portland, Maine. She was predeceased by her father, Winifred M. Strout, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Windham; children, David P. Baggett and Christine R. Sawyer; grandson, Kaden Fecteau; and mother, Clareece Rousseau and her husband, Leo, of Mechanic Falls. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth A. Michaud and her husband, Dennis of Casco; daughter, Barbara Mastroianni of Naples; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as "Gummy" and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard Roy of Windham and Ronald Strout and his wife, Martha of Waterford. Laurie had a passion for gardening and crafting and owned and ran her own ceramics business for many years as well as quilting out of her home with friends. She loved spending time making quilts with her daughters. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
