Obituary

Laura Rogers Dunham (aka AJ) passed peacefully on October 22, 2026 at Northern Light Mercy Hospice.

Laura’s loving, devoted niece Linda and her amazing Hospice team surrounded her to help her journey peacefully into Gods arms.

Laura was born in Portland, Maine on March 15, 1935 to Howard and Annie Ranloff Rogers of Windham, Maine. She attended schools in Windham before moving to Gorham, Maine. Her husband and she owned and operated Dunhams Barn Antiques in Standish for 22 years. Laura also cared for her aging father for 12 years during a difficult time as he battled Alzheimer’s.

Laura was a resident of Larrabee Village in Westbrook for over 15 years where she met her beloved companion, Larry Rancourt. She and Larry spent wonderful years together taking long drives, eating at Ken’s Place, sitting at the seashore and playing Bingo until his death in 2013

Her sister Charlotte Lowell and brother Lloyd Rogers predeceased her. She leaves behind several nieces and many friends.

Laura’s greatest joys were watching and feeding any type of wildlife, playing Bingo, cards and helping others.

She touched many lives with her non-judgmental outlook on life and unselfishness. She would always be the first person to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need.

Laura was a fierce warrior, brave and dignified. She and Linda would like to express their sincere gratitude for the loving and compassionate care they both received from Northern Light Hospice the past 3 years. Kathy, Tara, Pam and Lill were her special people as well as other health team members

There will be no visiting hours and a private graveside service per Laura’s wishes.
